Circular Breathing

Circular breathing is a technique used for playing wind instruments that allows the player to produce a constant tone without interruption.

This is accomplished by breathing in through the nose while simultaneously pushing air out through the mouth using the air stored in the cheeks, creating a continuous cycle of breath. This technique can elicit deep meditative states when used with wind instruments, particularly the didgeridoo. Studies have shown that it can also be used to reduce or eliminate the symptoms of sleep apnea, along with increasing mental focus and enhanced awareness of the body through the breath.
